Today at the Sonoma County Board of Supervisor's meeting it was unanimously voted to let the Regional Parks System negotiate with the State Parks System to take over operations at Annadel State Park. A huge crowd came and supported the Regional Parks Team led by Caryl Hart, Director. Over 20 people from various organizations and alliances spoke to recommend that the Board of Supervisors allow the Regional Parks to take over management of Annadel for the next year. And all the supervisors let it be known that they hope this will become a permanent solution providing funds can be found to keep the park open. To date, the various agencies working to keep Annadel open have raised $189,000 of the $350,000 it takes per year to keep the park open.
