In 2010, the County Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan was adopted by the County Board of Supervisors. The Plan identified numerous new trail projects including the proposed Petaluma Sebastopol Trail. North Burma Trail has a tree down across it which makes it unsafe to horses at this time. The location is near the bottom of the trail where the new section was built this year, just below the creek crossing. Please plan alternate route: do not ride from Channel Drive up North Burma or down North Burma from Live Oak to Channel Trail. Trails Council has plans to remove this, but it may take some time to get the crew together.

New Years day was a busy day at the Bodega Dunes. Over 60 rigs pulled up and took over the parking lot, so that trailers ended up parking on the road. Also there were reports of riders going off trail and running up and down the Dunes. Please remember that we are fortunate to have access to the dunes and must respect the trails and stay off any unmarked areas. In future if the parking lot is full, find somewhere else to ride. The neighbors around the dunes are very mindful of the treasure in their midst and hope that we will all respect and protect the area.
