Member Spotlight - Jan Loewen    707-528-8483

When Jan was 23 years old, she was driving home from work one night and was hit by a drunk driver. She had a concussion and her car was totaled.  She called her insurance company and the adjuster helped her thru a very difficult time, being patient with her and calling to check up on her. Jan knew that after that experience, she wanted to help people as well. Within a few months she became a claims adjuster and his been in the industry ever since.  Her love of horses began with spending all her summers on a working cattle ranch. After her childhood, she didn’t have an opportunity to be around horses much but has recently revived that love through classes at
the JC. She is now taking general horsemanship (mainly Western) lessons from trainer Judy McHeron and is enjoying every minute of it.

I’m learning “Cowboy Dressage”.  I hesitate to use that term.  It’s different from Western Dressage and may be outside what people think about here in Sonoma County.  But it really speaks to what I like.
